I was born here in Georgia, where I have lived most of my life. I graduated from a Gwinnett County High School in 1991. I attended Brenau University for my undergraduate degree. I also went to Piedmont College for my Master of Arts. I then went back to Brenau University and earned my Educational Specialist Degree in 2002. I have been teaching since 1996. I taught 2nd grade for 7 years, 3rd grade for 3 years, reading intervention for a year, and I was a language arts specials teacher for a year. This is my third year in 4th grade! Last year I added on to my certificate by taking the Gifted Endorsement through GCPC. I am excited to try some of the new things I learned!
I have been married since 1997 to Shawn, and we have a beautiful son, Colby. We love to boat, snow ski, and spend time outside as a family!
I also play tennis, and I am in a book club where I enjoy reading all types of literature! I love to exercise, sew, scrapbook online, and organize things!
